Fortunately, you can trust that your case is in capable hands when you turn to my firm for help.
I am available to represent a wide variety of family and matrimonial law cases, including those pertaining to:
Filing for divorce? You don't have to face this difficult time alone.
Are you considering filing for a divorce? Are you facing difficulties asset division? Family law issues can prove to not only be confusing, but emotionally difficult as well. When a couple chooses to end their marriage, this is only the first decision of many. They will also have to deal with asset division, spousal support, child custody and child support. Furthermore, there may be post-divorce issues that need to be dealt with, such as relocation cases, in which one parents wants to move with his or her child to another state or somewhere else that is a great distance away. If the other parent objects to the relocation, a court may have to issue a decision on the matter.
In most cases, the couple is able to come to an agreement regarding these all-important issues outside of court. Known as an uncontested divorce, through mediation and compromise on the less important matters, the couple may be able to finalize their divorce agreement without the cost and stress of a courtroom battle. However, if they cannot see eye-to-eye or come to a resolution, they may have to take their case before a judge. In either case, it is important that you consult an experienced divorce attorney.
I am a certified divorce and family law mediator, as well as a strategic litigator who can handle cases that need to be resolved in the courtroom.
Considering adoption? My firm can walk you through the process.
There are some family law issues which relate directly to children. According to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, adoption is simply the raising of a child by legal parents rather than birth parents. If you are considering adoption, you will need to determine whether you are eligible to become an adoptive parent.
In the U.S., marital status, age and sexual orientation do not have an effect on who can adopt; however, if you are considering adopting from a foreign country, you may have to work with their restrictions. There are several different ways in which a child could be adopted. You can adopt a foster child who has been in your care or who is a ward of the state, you can adopt a child domestically from another state or through a private agency, or adopt a child from another country. All of these matters must be carefully addressed by a lawyer.

Last month, we finalized and signed all of my estate planning paperwork to protect my baby Nova’s assets along with carrying out my healthcare wishes. I can’t lie this was probably next to one of the hardest things I’ve had to do besides burying my parents If you haven’t done your estates planning, I highly recommend my attorney - Law Office of Wendra J. Moran. She listened to my wishes and allowed me to take my time as I processed my wishes at my pace. It took me over a month to revisit this conversation with her, but she was very supportive and caring during this process.
